Emails at Segmentino is a section that enables you to send emails to users in a variety of themes, according to your communication goal.
At Segmentino, Emails section consists of a list of email channels that have been created by this Segmentino account. By clicking on the hyperlinked Name of each one, you will be directed to the page of that channel.
At the top of this page the number of emails sent by this channel is illustrated in a diagram. You can also view the list of the users who have been involved in this channel at the bottom of this page. Plus, the click counts of each link mentioned in this email is shown by clicking on the Click Counts tab next to Contacts tab, categorized by their URL, clicks, unique clicks, and tracking ID.
Creating an Email Channel
By clicking on New button at the top right of this section, you can create a new email channel. The first thing you need to decide about in this process is choosing between sending a Template Email or Segment Email.
Creating a New Template Email
A template email is automatically sent by journeys, forms, point triggers, etc. These can be edited but cannot be sent to a user segment. By choosing this option, you will be directed to another page. This page consists of two sections presented by two tabs on the top left, Theme and Advanced.
In Theme tab, you can set the email attributes in the vertical rectangular area placed on the right side of this page like its subject, category, publish status, etc. There is a part in this area labeled Google Analytics UTM Tags which is aimed at finding out where the users come from. Moreover, you can choose one of the email templates among the available ones shown at the center of the page according to your communication goal.
In Advanced tab, you can customize:
The sender’s name
The sender’s address
The address which receives reply messages
The BCC addresses
Creating a New Segment Email
A segment email can be manually sent to the selected user’s segments. Once the email has been sent, it cannot be edited. However, it can be sent to new users as they are added to the associated segments. The page sections are pretty much the same as the previous one; the only difference between them is that you can delineate the segments you want to involve in this channel using a drop-down list on the right side of the page called User Segment.
There is a button placed at the top right of both pages called Builder which is aimed at modifying the emails you want to send out.
There are several ways of modifying the emails you want to send out:
In Slot types, you can choose the kinds of slots you want to place in the email.
In Section types, you can delineate the layout of columns.
In Customize slot, you can set the position of the slot you choose or its font (according to its type).
In Customize Section, you can modify and customize the sections of your email.
Personalizing the email
If you click on Insert a token button from Customize Slot section, you can customize the text of your email based on the target population attributes; for instance, you can include the name of each user after an expression in your email (for instance, Dear Maryam). This way you can send out personalized emails by the help of this templates.
