Web Overlays tend to give users a moment of focused interaction, taking them out of the regular flow. They do this by collecting specific set of data, displaying a notice, or emphasizing a link. Web Overlays appear in a various of forms, like a window that blurs its background or a bar appearing at the top of the page.
At Segmentino, Web Overlays section consists of a list of web overlay campaigns that have been created by this Segmentino account. By clicking on the hyperlinked Name of each one, you will be directed to the page of that campaign.
At the top of this page the number of messages sent by this channel is illustrated in a diagram. You can also view the list of the users who have been involved in this campaign at the bottom of this page.
Creating a Web Overlay Campaign
By clicking on New button at the top right of this section, you can create a new web overlay campaign. After deciding about its name and description, you can delineate its category and publish status in the vertical rectangular area on the right side of this page. There is a part in this area labeled Google Analytics UTM Tags which is aimed at finding out where the users come from.
There is a button placed at the top right of the page called Builder which is aimed at personalizing the web overlay you want to create.
You can personalize your web overlays in a variety of ways:
You can delineate the focus of your overlay (collect data, display a notice, emphasize a link)
You can delineate the style of your overlay (bar, modal, notification, full page)
You can choose your desired color set for your overlay
You can set the content attributes (content mode, headline, tagline, font) for your overlay
The search bar placed at the top of the page aims at previewing the web overlay you are building by showing a screenshot of that web overlay placed on a designated website (which you get to choose by entering its URL).
